Pray the Word Ministries - 720 North Post Oak Road Suite 205 · Houston, Texas 77024 - (713) 476-9514
Pray the Word Ministries has a deep love for missionaries serving locally and abroad, as well as for their families. Early in 2009, Mary Ann Bridgwater felt the Lord leading Pray the Word to gather intercessors of missionaries, their parents and family members for corporate prayer.
The missionaries represented at these gatherings have been sent to the field by various mission sending agencies. Since April, over seventy intercessors have met on a quarterly basis to lift up specific needs and requests related to each missionary and their personal lives and ministries. These prayer times include guided group and individual prayer, along with short testimonies from missionaries and their families.
Pray the Word desires to expand this Missionary Prayer Ministry beyond Houstons' First Baptist Church to churches throughout our Nation. If you would like more information about this ministry or details on how to pray for missionaries you know, please contact our office.
"My experience wit the missionary prayer time was wonderful. I appreciated so much everyone focusing on foreign missionaries children who are so far from home giving me, as a parent, a time to talk to families and friends of missionaries who are going through the same experiences me.
It gave me a chance to see a larger picture and an opportunity to hear the needs of other missionaries and parents. I know there is a comfort to my children knowing the prayer that is focused on them and their fellow missionary brothers and sisters. Thank you for this opportunity."
